The Maritime Singapore Connect (MSC) Office held the second run of the MSC Connexions Forum on 3 November 2017 as a half-day session at Carlton Hotel Singapore. Organised for those in the HR and PR functions of the maritime industry, and those working with students and jobseekers in schools and various career centres under Workforce Singapore (WSG) and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), the event gathered over 140 attendees with common interests in maritime manpower-related issues.
Besides presentations from the MSC Office, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore, the highlight of the event was the panel discussion, which was centred on a key strategy outlined in the IMC 2030 Strategic Review report released recently, about developing a multi-skilled maritime workforce with a global mindset.
